Chiropractic is not simply treatment for pain!

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

They say the Chiropractic profession is often misunderstood, and many people have no experience with Chiropractors. I am one of them. Chiropractic is founded upon the premise that when spinal bones are functioning in normal motion and position, the central nervous system can deliver its vital energy for the proper function of the body’s tissues, organs and systems.

  • Like Dentistry and regular check ups, Chiropractic involves regular check ups to identify subluxations in the spine, comparative to cavities in the mouth.
  • Everyday occurrences can cause the spinal bones to lose their usual motion or position. This can set off a chain reaction affecting the vertebrae, nerves, muscles, soft tissues and results in degenerative changes throughout the body.
  • Chiropractors are the only doctors trained to detect and correct subluxations through safe, gentle and specific adjustments.

What is Gonstead?

Named after Dr. C. S. Gonstead (1898-1978) the “Miracle Man” of Chiropractic. Gonstead’s technique became the “Hall Mark” for the entire profession of Chiropractic. With Gonstead’s background in mechanical engineering, he saw the human spine as an intricate engineering wonder and he studied it every chance he had. Gonstead’s work with thousands of spinal cases, his constant clinical studies of the spine, and his own innate knowledge of how the spine works, explains his ingenuity in finding, identifying and correcting subluxations no one else could.

The Gonstead system gives rise to a specific, definite approach, to every segment of the spinal column. The detailed analysis includes instrumentation, digital palpation, motion palpation, visualization, x-ray followed by adjusting the articulations of the spine by hand only!

I found Dr. Jason Epeneter of Carlsbad Health Within Chiropractor who is trained exclusively in the Gonstead system. This ensures that the principles outlined by Dr. Gonstead will be duplicated, the results achieved and satisfied patients will be the mission of Health Within Chiropractic!

Anyone in San Diego looking for a great Chiropractor, do your body a favor and visit Dr. Jason Epeneter.

I’ve noticed Ask is now Ask 2.0 with some fresh Ajax polish added to it. I like it, or at least I like that it’s different. The search results are different as well.

Google Sponsored Link

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

I noticed today that Google changed the color of there sponsored link background. Instead of blue it’s now a more yellowish color. I like it, stands out more and maybe that 10k a month campaign will see more conversions do to the yellowish background? Maybe not.

Making your users happy

Friday, March 9th, 2007

“When users get what they want from you quickly and easily, they’re more likely to come back next time.” - Matt Cutts

The general idea is to run a company around users while respecting their rights. I’ve always believed the experience,
information and the website should be controlled by the user.

“Send your users away happy and they’ll come back” - Eric Schmidt

That to me says it all. Just look at Google as an example of such practices.

SEOmoz on How to Solve Keyword Cannibalization

Friday, March 9th, 2007

Rand over at SEOmoz did a nice little write up on Keyword Cannibalization

  • Internal Anchor Text - since you’re pointing to so many different pages with the same subject, you can’t concentrate the value of internal anchor text on one target.
  • External Links - If 4 sites link to one page on “snowboards,” 3 sites link to another of your “snowboard” pages and 6 sites link to yet another “snowboard” page, you’ve split up your external link value among three pages, rather than consolidating it into one.
  • Content Quality - After 3 or 4 pages of writing about the same primary topic, the value of your content is going to suffer. You want the best possible single page to attract links and referrals, not a dozen bland, replicated pages.
  • Conversion Rate - If one page is converting better than the others, it’s a waste to have multiple, lower-converting versions targeting the same traffic. If you want to do conversion tracking, use a multiple-delivery testing system (either A/B or multivariate).

I figured someone might find this useful as I did. I don’t know everything and I feel every little bit helps when your trying to make millions.
