What’s the Big Deal about SEO Anyway?

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Many of the clients who approach us at camrondeen.com already have a website. Often we will hear complaints such as “Why have a website when no one can find it?” or “Why spend money on a website, just to have it lost somewhere in the world wide web, unnoticed, collecting virtual dust?” We couldn’t agree more. The solution for this type of complaint is Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become a necessary marketing tool for any company with a web presence. No better way exists for increased traffic to a website than successful SEO. Unlike many other forms of marketing, SEO is affordable and long-lasting. Often times, business owners can be wary of spending money on SEO marketing. Sometimes these owners have been in business a long time, and are not aware of how effective SEO can be. They have usually used other marketing techniques for years, and it can be difficult to first grasp that times have changed. Traditional forms of marketing such as direct mail and newspaper ads are not as effective as they once were. Traditional marketing can be expensive, exhausting and exasperating and is often “in your face.” Direct mail, ads, and even television forces your message upon an audience. SEO reverses the psychology; you are putting yourself in front of people who are actively looking for the kinds of products and/or services you provide. You provide the information they are already looking for. Think about the benefit of “pulling” inquiries from web traffic rather than “pushing” messages on those who had no interest in the first place. Search Engine Optimization has distinct advantages for the small to large business owner. It is long lasting, affordable, embraces an evolving medium, and connects you with people who are already looking for what you offer. Now we are not suggesting to only use SEO for marketing; however, we strongly consider pursuing this avenue of marketing. Search engine visibility can and certainly does wonders for any type of business.

Optimize Your Title

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Every web page should have a title and every good title should have keywords.

Include only your main keywords.  You want to use the least amount of keywords you can, the idea being that Google will give each of the
keywords more weight and the higher you will rank.  So in other words don’t use every keyword you can think of in your title.

This would be a perfect title for your web page.

Rememeber always put your most important keywords first.  Replace all “ands” with “|” character.  Make sure the titles pertain to the page.

Video Websites and Video Packages for Law Firms and Attorneys

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

They say that more  than any other medium of advertising, video conveys an image of credibility, innovation and success. Which is why I see more and more marketing companies offering video for lawyers. Videos allow the potential client to be engaged by compelling video and graphics thus enabling the client to get a real feel for the law firm and attorneys. The one reason for lawyer videos is conversions. The best part about lawyer videos is most of the companies take care of the video production from start-to-finish. Everything from pre-production, production, post-production services and scripting. Even Video SEO for lawyers, which makes video easily accessible through You Tube, Google Video and many others all of which will increase your website traffic and client contacts. So far I’ve seen prices range from $30,000.00 to $5,000.00.

Yes for the most part

Monday, July 16th, 2007

I was reading this post on Search Engine Roundtable “Can You SEO a Site in Less than 60 Minutes?” I thought this was kinda funny because over the weekend I was working a new client’s web site that had no rank what so ever. I did a few tweaks in ten minutes, and searched the keywords I was looking for in Google four hours later. Bam top of page 6! So Yes for the most part I guess some SEO can be done in less than 60 minutes.
